Tips for the Perfect Bridal Hairstyle

25th May 2015

Bridal hairstyles may seem simple, but if you are looking at long and flowing curls when you have a bob cut there may be a bit of an issue. Luckily we have some tips for you to not only find but pull off that bridal hairstyle of your dreams.

Book a Trial

This is possibly the most important piece of advice that a bride could have. Always book a trial with a hairdresser you would like to hire for your wedding day. If you don't and you want a classic look for example and they only do modern, flowing curls, you are likely not going to get the hairstyle you want. While most hairstylists can adapt to the style requested, some need more time than others to complete a polished look, and the last thing you want is to rush on your wedding day.

Bring a Photo

If you see something you love in a bridal magazine or on Pinterest for example, bring it with you to your appointment. This goes for the bridal party as well. This will help the hairstylist easily understand the kind of style that you are looking for.

Don't Forget Accessories

When doing a trial, always bring any headpieces you may be wearing, such as a tiara or veil. Consider small hair accessories for the bridal party as well, such as small clips adorned with crystals or stylish looking bobbypins. It will add to the elegant look of your bridal party.

Plan Ahead

If you are planning on getting your hair dyed, do so at least a month before the wedding and leave time for touch ups before the wedding day. Get rid of split ends and unnecessary frizz by getting your hair trimmed a couple weeks before as well. Keep in mind what your hair will look like on your wedding day; if you didn't want bangs for your wedding, don't get your hair cut like that weeks before.
